Andy Laird

Andy Laird has been involved in fitness and athletic competition for over 35 years.  In his youth he played Provincial level soccer and Rep Hockey, gradually becoming more and more involved in fitness and conditioning.  Having competed in several bodybuilding competitions, he won the Ontario Masters Natural Bodybuilding Championship in 2004 as a lifetime drug-free athlete.   More recently he has participated in varied athletic challenges such as Tough Mudder, Warrior Dash and Storm the Ten Adventure Race.

Andy has years of experience helping others to achieve their fitness goals having led thousands of training sessions and classes; he has dozens of satisfied, fit clients who can attest to the effectiveness of his training methods.  Andy is living proof that age need not slow you down and is the perfect, qualified choice for "boomers" looking to stay young by staying fit.

Jessica Ulrich

Jessica Ulrich is a graduate of Western University (formally the University of Western Ontario) and the University of Ontario Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Arts, Honours Specialization in Kinesiology, and a Bachelor of Education respectively.

Jessica was a goaltender for Western from 2007-2011, and in 2008 was named to the Ontario University Athletics All-Rookie Team as the Rookie Goaltender of the Year. Prior to University, she played in the Provincial Women’s Hockey League for the Whitby Junior Wolves, and for the Willowdale Redwings Midget AA in the Lower Lakes Female Hockey League. Currently, Jessica is playing for the Toronto Sirens Senior AA in the Golden Blades Women’s Hockey League based out of York University. Throughout her athletic career, Jessica also played competitive soccer as well as numerous sports for her high school focusing on hockey, basketball, and soccer, and ultimately being named Female Athlete of the Year in her graduating year.

Jessica currently works with the Georgina Blaze and the Georgina Goldenhawks and has worked with well known goalie coaches across the GTA since 2006. She is also a Level 1 Certified Skating Treadmill Instructor and a CanfitPro Personal Training Specialist.

Meagan Davis

Meagan is a Wilfrid Laurier graduate with a major in Honours Kinesiology and minor in Psychology. She worked alongside the Men’s Basketball Ball team at Laurier and was named Manager of the Year. She currently works at Keswick Active Physiotherapy as an Exercise Therapist. Also, Meagan is a Certified K-taping therapist and is studying to become a Registered Kinesiologist. Meagan’s passion for fitness began when she was younger. She was always involved with competitive sports such as soccer and badminton. With going to university, her passion has grown from competitive sports and focused more on strength and conditioning. She ran a bootcamp with Jessica this past summer (and they will reviving the "Quad Squad" at the Metamorfit Studio early in 2015) and is currently instructing a water aerobics class. With the need to succeed driven in her from day one, she carries that determination into her training sessions with clients too. She fully commits to her clients and puts them first.

 

Amanda Laird

Amanda is our Metamorfit Yoga Instructor. In 2014, she obtained her certification in Victoria, British Columbia. Amanda has instructed many classes for participants of various levels and in several different formats from Hatha to Flow and more. Amanda is also available as a private Yoga Instructor for clients, couples or small groups who prefer not to participate in large open classes but rather to practice Yoga in the privacy of their own home.
Amanda has competed in OPA Physique competition, recently qualifying for the 2017 Ontario Provincial Championships. She is uniquely able to assist clients in integrating Yoga practice into their physique transformation.
